Dang! This looks right up my alley but it’s paywalled.

"I’m indulging in my juvenile, geeky interests, and recently took a little extra money and bought about half of the original Animorphs books."

Can I buy them from you when you're done? I have been meaning to do the exact same thing.

Haha man that's tough! I bought them in lots of eBay and half the reason I bought them was because I wanted my kids to have them in the house.

Great advice for anxious times. It's hard enough as it is, no need to self impose angst. I'll go along with all of it, except the scented cinnamon brooms at Trader Joe's in October. That is my line. Thanks for a great post.

Leaning into the wholesomeness instead of resisting it — love it 😌

There is so much joy here :) And makes me wanna get pumpkin spice latte and make habit of rewatching Lord of the Ring. And "The formula for happiness did not seem that complicated after all" and "Wholesome-maxxing is a way to be honest with yourself about what you want when you’re afraid you’ll be judged for being like everybody else". Double wow!

As one recovering contrarian to another -- heck yeah to wholesome-maxxing!

This is lovely -- "living my life by doing the opposite of what people expect is as much of a trap as doing what everyone else is doing just to fall in line." I think I'm going to steal it, and print it, and post it so it's in the field of vision next to my computer. Or, heck, I'm going to handwrite it instead. Maybe scribble some pictures on there too. Your wholesomeness will be a seed to my wholesomeness.

(What's the marathon-equivalent for the 40's-decade?)
