I've always loved perusing the Science Fiction section of old bookstores. But I think my absolute favorite serendipitous treasure was a book called "An Exaltation of Larks," a book that tells what groups of animals are called, like a 'clowder of cats.'
What to add to this lovely post? Just that in this new dimension of short writing, as a post is, you can find reasons for inspiration. And this post is definitely one of those unexpected gifts.
This bookstore also greatly impacted my childhood and trajectory, for the better. Anything seems possible if you grow up surrounded by books. If you haven't checked out Becker's Books, you should. You won't regret it.
